Friendly and warm workplace

In order to create a people-oriented workplace and ensure that employees' voices are heard by the company, MA-tek provides opportunities for supervisors to listen to the voices of grassroots employees through various formal and informal communication channels, fostering internal consensus and striving to meet the needs of every employee. At the same time, MA-tek also organizes various employee recreational activities, such as Family Day, fun fairs, hiking days, clubs, and cultural and creative lectures, to create a warm MA-tek family.

Human Rights Policy

MA-tek is committed to providing employees with a safe, healthy, and high-quality work environment, adhering to the principles of various labor and ethical policies, and strictly prohibiting actions that violate and infringe upon human rights. MA-tek focuses on human rights issues, following internationally recognized human rights norms such as the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)", the "UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights", and the "United Nations Global Compact", as well as complying with the regulations of the locations where it operates globally. In addition, MA-tek has established a "MA-tek Human Rights Policy", which not only follows the aforementioned international human rights norms but also includes two major policies on labor and ethics, safeguarding employee rights, implementing human rights protection, and serving as the basic standards and commitments that all colleagues should adhere to in their work and business activities.

Labor Policy

MA-tek has established labor policies to protect employee rights, safeguarding employees from improper discrimination and sexual harassment, providing sound salary benefits and working hours, establishing diverse and effective communication mechanisms, and offering various training and development opportunities to implement humane management.

  1. Equal recruitment and freedom to choose a profession
MA-tek focuses on the professional abilities and work skills of employees during recruitment, and employees are not discriminated against based on age, gender, race, religion, nationality, political affiliation, place of birth, sexual orientation, marital status, appearance, or physical and mental disabilities. A diverse range of recruitment channels is used to attract talent; all work is voluntary, with no slavery or human trafficking involved, and workers have the right to leave or terminate their employment relationship at any time.
  2. Child labor and youth labor
MA-tek strictly adheres to the regulations of Taiwan's Labor Standards Act and the requirements of the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct. It does not employ workers under the age of 16, and workers under the age of 18 (youth workers) are prohibited from engaging in work that may jeopardize their health or safety, including night shifts or overtime. Hired employees must provide identification for the company to verify, ensuring that nothing is overlooked.
  3. Working hours
Working hours shall not exceed the maximum limits specified by labor standards laws, and employees should have at least one day of rest every seven days. Overtime is based on the principle of voluntariness, and employees are not forced to work overtime.

  4. Wages and Benefits
The salary is higher than the regular hourly wage level and not lower than the provisions of the Labor Standards Act. In addition, to improve the salary system, regular market surveys and policy reviews are conducted, and a performance evaluation system is integrated as the basis for adjusting colleagues' starting salaries, salary increases, promotions, and bonus distributions.
  5. humane treatment
Employees are protected from harsh and inhumane treatment, including any form of sexual harassment, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, or verbal abuse.
  6. 不岐視
MA-tek is committed to protecting employees from harassment and illegal discrimination. Employees shall not be discriminated against in recruitment and actual work based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, political beliefs, membership in organizations, or marital status. For recruitment, selection, employment, distribution, assignment, performance evaluation, or promotion of employees, differential treatment based on gender or sexual orientation is prohibited unless there is a legitimate reason related to the nature of the work. Furthermore, employees are also prohibited from treating other employees in any discriminatory or harassing manner (including sexual harassment as defined in the Gender Equality in Employment Act) while performing their duties.
  7. Freedom of association and labor negotiations
    • The company respects the rights of employees to organize and participate in the unions of their choice, collective bargaining, and peaceful assembly, while also respecting the rights of employees to refrain from such activities.
    • Employees and labor representatives can openly communicate with management about working conditions and management practices, as well as share their thoughts and concerns, without worrying about discrimination, retaliation, threats, or harassment.

Ethical Policy

To avoid conflicts of interest arising from personal and work-related matters, and to strictly prohibit any form of corruption, extortion, and embezzlement, while also protecting customer privacy and intellectual property rights, MA-tek has established an ethical policy and provided mechanisms for reporting and protecting whistleblowers to ensure the integrity of MA-tek's business operations.

  1. Integrity in business operations
All employees should ethically and honestly perform and fulfill their duties, avoiding any personal conflicts of interest arising from work, and any form of corruption, extortion, and embezzlement is strictly prohibited.
  2. No improper gains
All employees are required to refrain from providing or accepting any form of benefits from business partners, especially when such benefits may jeopardize objective and fair business decisions. Employees and their families are also expected to avoid violating the principles of business integrity, including bribery, fraud, and so on.
  3. Message Publicity
Without violating company and legal regulations, publicly disclose business activities, organizational structure, financial status, and performance in accordance with applicable laws and industry practices.
  4. Intellectual Property Rights
Commit to comply with relevant laws and regulations regarding intellectual property rights.
  5. Fair Trade, Advertising and Competition
Comply with fair trading and do not participate in market competition through illegal means such as false advertising.
