3. Environmental Hazard Assessment and Improvement Measures

In order to ensure that the company can effectively identify environmental safety and health-related risks and opportunities, and to meet the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and all employees for "zero risk" in environmental safety and health, MA-tek has established an environmental hazard identification and assessment process as well as a laboratory risk hazard identification implementation plan, and conducts operations in accordance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations in various regions. This includes the identification, assessment, and control of workplace or operational hazards, change management, and emergency response measures related to occupational safety and health, to identify any issues that may affect public safety in the laboratory or involve environmental protection topics. MA-tek has completed the standard specifications for the risk hazard identification procedure document, including employee work arrangements, potential emergency response, and past workplace safety incidents.

MA-tek emphasizes comprehensive risk management for all employees, implementing layered prevention measures in daily operations, and encourages employees to report any potential risks to their superiors immediately to prevent issues before they arise. Additionally, the auditing unit actively supervises each executing unit to adhere to approval authority and relevant management methods and procedures to ensure the risk management awareness and execution strength of all employees.

4. Risk Hazard Identification Implementation Plan

The implementation plan is initiated by the Environmental Safety Department, following the execution methods of "Plan," "Do," "Check," and "Action." It convenes the safety committee members to conduct risk assessment execution explanations, where committee members from each unit select high-risk factors for assessment. The Environmental Safety Department then confirms whether the assessment methods are consistent with the actual situation and proposes suggestions for improvement as well as confirmation of the results after implementation. The high-risk factors of each unit will be assessed based on four aspects: "Harm," "Accident," "Incident," and "Risk."

For employees operating regulated radiation equipment, it is also required that they must be trained to obtain an operating qualification certificate and undergo regular retraining annually to reduce the occurrence of workplace accidents.

6. Workplace Health Promotion

MA-tek, in accordance with the Labor Health Protection Regulations, has hired one on-site occupational nurse for its Taiwan laboratory and established a health center to provide employees with health education and care, assisting in physical health data analysis to help employees understand their own health status. The mainland laboratory operates in accordance with the Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law and the Regulations on Occupational Health Management in the Workplace, with dedicated personnel responsible for promoting employee health management and occupational health work, continuously implementing workplace health protection.
