UPLC Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Instrument

Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) is an advanced development of liquid chromatography technology. Compared to traditional High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UPLC can operate at higher pressures.higher operating pressure conditions, and uses smaller particle size stationary phase packing (usually less than 2 µm)to improve separation efficiency and analysis speed.

In the analysis process, the sample will enter the chromatography column with the mobile phase, and different compounds due to theirPolarity, molecular size, chemical structure and interaction with the stationary phaseDifferent retention times are generated in the chromatography column, thereby achieving the effect of component separation. UPLC effectively reduces the height of the theoretical plate and increases the number of theoretical plates by minimizing the particle size of the column packing and optimizing the internal structure of the column, significantly enhancing separation efficiency.

Due to UPLC hasHigh-pressure operating capability and high-efficiency separation characteristicscan achieve better separation results in a shorter time while improving analytical sensitivity and reproducibility, thus in situations whereRapid, high-resolution, and high-throughput analysishas significant advantages in applications, in addition, UPLC is often used in conjunction with mass spectrometry (MS) to formUPLC-MS or UPLC-MS/MS systemcan directly perform mass analysis after separating compounds, further enhancing detection sensitivity and qualitative capabilities, widely used in drug analysis, food safety, environmental testing, and materials analysis.
