CTBC Bank, in collaboration with Tokyo Star, hosted the MA-tek Japan Joint Credit Facility, which was oversubscribed by more than 2 times.

China Trust Bank and Tokyo Star Bank jointly hosted the MA-tek Japan joint credit project, achieving success in deepening their presence in Japan. Japanese banks actively supported it with oversubscription of 2 times.

China Trust Commercial Bank (referred to as "China Trust Bank") and its subsidiary Tokyo Star Bank (referred to as "Tokyo Star") jointly organized a celebration for the three-year joint credit facility of 2 billion Japanese yen for MA-tek's Japanese subsidiary MA-tek JAPAN (referred to as "MA-tek Japan") today (8th). China Trust Bank has successfully established a presence in Japan, and this case received enthusiastic support from long-term partners Kumamoto Bank, Higo Bank, and 77 Bank, ultimately being oversubscribed by more than 2 times, demonstrating the banking group's high recognition of MA-tek's professional technology and development direction, which can provide stable operating funds for MA-tek Japan.

Focusing on the development of the semiconductor and automotive industry clusters in Japan is expected to drive cooperation opportunities between Taiwan and Japan. MA-tek plans to expand its business footprint in Japan and has initiated its first joint credit facility. The celebration of the joint credit facility of 2 billion yen for its subsidiary MA-tek Japan, a three-year term loan, was co-hosted by Lin Yongjian, Senior Vice President of the International Banking Division of China Trust Bank, representing the banking consortium, and Xie Yongfen, Chairman of MA-tek.

MA-tek is a major semiconductor testing and analysis company in Taiwan, established for over 20 years, with professional technology, open-mindedness, and multinational operational capabilities. Its clients include the semiconductor and automotive industries, academic research institutions, equipment manufacturers, and research units. Its laboratories are located throughout Taiwan and mainland China, and it has also expanded to Nagoya and Kumamoto in Japan. It is expected to establish its third location in Hokkaido in the second half of this year, serving as an important partner for high-tech companies in overseas development.

China Trust Bank has been strategically establishing its presence in the Japanese market since 2000, when it opened its Tokyo branch. In 2014, it acquired Tokyo Star Bank, becoming the only Taiwanese bank with a subsidiary in Japan. It operates under a dual-engine model of branches and subsidiaries, providing corporate and personal financial services to meet the financial needs of Taiwanese enterprises investing in Japan. In the future, it will continue to actively introduce Taiwanese hidden champions like MA-tek to Japanese financial institutions, creating new milestones in Taiwan-Japan financial cooperation.
