The 2025 Asia Biotech Expo (July 24-27) was grandly held at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei. This event focused on life sciences, healthcare, and biotechnology applications, attracting heavyweight scholars, medical experts, and innovative companies from around the world. MA-tek showcased its cutting-edge K-kit technology at booth M308 on the fourth floor and was specially invited by the National Health Research Institute (NHRI) to conduct a thematic presentation at its booth, fully demonstrating the technological breakthroughs and application potential of K-kit in the biomedical field.

 

Expanding into biotechnology, the application fields of K-kit are further broadened.

 

During the exhibition, the K-kit booth attracted many experts and scholars from the pharmaceutical and academic fields for交流. Experts were amazed and affirmed that its unique negative staining technology can be directly applied to observe the expression of nanocarriers such as exosomes and liposomes in liquid. This technology breaks through the limitations and allows low-contrast nanobiomedical structures to be observed with high-resolution electron microscopy in a liquid environment, promising to open new research horizons in the biotech field.

 

K-kit can directly observe the dynamic changes, size distribution, and aggregation behavior of nanoparticles in solution within the high vacuum chamber of an electron microscope, breaking traditional observation limits. Its technological applications span across industries such as semiconductors, materials, food, cosmetics, and biotechnology, showcasing the infinite potential of "cross-domain integration and shared benefits across various industries."

 

It is particularly worth mentioning that MA-tek's senior engineer Jiang Xinpei pointed out during the exhibition speech that as early as 2008, a research team was the first to use K-kit to complete electron microscopy imaging of live cells in liquid environments, pioneering liquid-phase biological imaging technology, which remains an important milestone in the field to this day. In recent years, K-kit has performed remarkably in the international market, with top research teams from various countries adopting it for advanced nano-observation, and related results have frequently been published in top international journals. This includes a Spanish research team that published in the journal "Nature Communications" (2024, 15(1)), successfully utilizing K-kit to achieve 3D tomography of nanoparticles. In addition, recent applied research results also cover:

 

  • Inducing crystal growth under TEM electron beam and performing three-dimensional reconstruction;
  • Analyze the distribution and characteristics of active nanoparticles in cosmetic products.
  • Observation and preparation methods for developing anti-cancer drug nanocrystals, etc.
  • These diverse application themes fully demonstrate the technical value and development potential of K-kit in biomedical analysis, drug development, and nanomedicine research.

 

Currently, K-kit products are sold by more than 20 well-known electron microscope consumable distributors worldwide. At the same time, MA-tek also provides comprehensive liquid sample analysis services based on this exclusive patented technology.

 

The exhibition was lively, with vibrant exchanges between academia and industry.

 

The "Asia Biotech Expo" is one of the most iconic international events in the Asian biotech industry. The exhibition site was bustling with crowds from morning till night, and there was continuous vibrant exchange between academia and industry.
