The two-day 113th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Materials Science Society concluded successfully on November 16 at National Chung Hsing University. We sincerely thank all the experts, scholars, and students who visited the MA-tek booth for the in-depth discussions on the latest materials testing and analysis techniques, making this event rich in exchange and inspiration!

As in previous years, MA-tek once again exclusively sponsored the "Taiwan Materials Science Microstructure Image Aesthetics Competition" organized by the society. This competition aims to capture the unique characteristics of materials science through visual imaging and other analytical instruments, combining imagination and creativity to showcase the aesthetic qualities inherent in scientific imagery, providing participants with an excellent platform to demonstrate the "microstructure and aesthetics of materials science." It also encourages more participants to present the charm of materials science through innovative perspectives and artistic interpretations.

This year's competition was particularly intense, receiving nearly 170 submissions in total. The colleagues from MA-tek also actively participated, contributing several outstanding works, and stood out in the finals of the "Social Group" with their exceptional creativity and performance, winning the following awards:

  • Gold Award: "10nm Thumb" — Hong Yi-Wei
  • Outstanding Work: "Running Penguin" - Huang Yan-Bo
  • Outstanding Work: "Lobster" - Chen Peihua

These works use material microstructures as a canvas, perfectly combining science and aesthetics. Can you imagine a delicate representation of a "thumb" at 10 nanometers? Or the vivid postures of a "running penguin" and a "lobster" emerging from the microscopic world? This is not just a breakthrough in technology, but a feast of art!

MA-tek supports innovation and aesthetics

As a long-term sponsor of the competition, we firmly believe that materials science is not only at the core of research and technology but can also showcase astonishing aesthetic value through imagery! This year's competition was even more exciting, and we thank every participant for their efforts, allowing science and art to blend in the microscopic world.

Event Highlights Review

In addition to the competition achievements, the annual meeting attracted a large number of scholars and experts who engaged in discussions with us about new technologies and application solutions for materials testing, allowing us to feel the endless possibilities of materials science!
